As the holiday season sneaks up on me, it gets me thinking about creative and unusual gift ideas for my friends and family. I am hoping to getting around to making some homemade goodies, but I have to get off the internet to make that happen. I am excited that today is the last day of school then Winter Vacation beings. Yah!
Here are a few of the standout things that have caught my eye this season:
bring me back to happy memories. My grandma had a terrarium and I loved everything about my grandma. I’ve just realized that I’ve never had one.
What I love about this is there are directions on this website on how to build one.
I covet heath ceramics pottery, wish I owned some
The Mobile Foodie Survival Kit

There are a million great ones out there, if you are looking for something else give me a shout and I might be able to help.

Gotta say that Mobile Foodie Survival Kit might just be the smartest thing anyone’s come up with. There’s this thing called the Grey Kangaroo, which is nothing more than a charcoal filter with a funnel attached to it. You use this to transform low-grade (i.e. cheap) booze into, coming out the other end as slightly higher grade. This is the food equivalent of that, and if I was forced to eat crappy airplane food, I’d have no problem giving it a facelift if it kept me from gagging on it.
You crack me up. Best you pack some of your charcuterie for the flight and make everyone jealous
Thanks for the Grey Kangaroo plug. I had no idea there was such a thing. I’m going to get that for my husband, he’s so hard to buy for. We can use it when we go to our friends (and my Dad) who prefer to buy the bargain, plastic gallon jugs that give nasty hangovers. We have some old moonshine we found at my grandmother’s. (Presumably made by some country bumpkin, logger folk in the foothills of the cascades decades ago) This might just be the trick to make it drinkable. It is still a bit rough.
Thanks for the tip and Merry Christmas to you and Katrina!
