summer pests

in opinions and such

I don’t know about you but those pesky fruit flies are all over my kitchen. Don’t get me wrong I am not underestimating their keen sense to tell you when that cantaloupe on the counter has just passed its prime. Having my kitchen over run by these obnoxious pests is maddening.

You can go out and purchase fruit fly traps, and I do believe that they work. They cost between $12 and $50. I’ve got better things to put that money towards and the tools you need to catch the buggers yourself are right in your pantry for pennies.

How To:
a vessel
vinegar
plastic wrap
a utensil to poke holes in plastic (a skewer or fork)

That is all you need. It may take a few hours for the critters to find their way in, then they DIE !!

gorgeous photo I know, good thing I did not use the one with all the dead critters

That is a really great TIP! I wonder if it will get rid of ants! We get infestations because of the dry heat. Thanks, love this.
