This is such a heartwarming story that I just had to share. It is a cool story about helping those who wanted to help themselves in these trying times. Yes, it was free, but you had to do the work yourself. That just might be the greatest gift of all. This is the story that I heard on NPR on my way home this evening.
All Things Considered, November 24, 2008 · When Joe Miller, the owner of Miller Farms in Platteville, Colo., said he would give away free vegetables on his farm, an estimated 40,000 people showed up. Miller talks about what prompted his offer and the overwhelming response.
