For those days when you need something chocolate and you need it fast. There is a mix out that doesn’t have anything funky in the mix. Can you believe it. This is the lazy person’s (my) brownie mix. I know homemade is the best, I won’t deny it, but this comes a close second. This is by far the best tasting brownies from a box I have ever had.

Their big claim to fame is that they are fat-free. They are called No Pudge!. Now anyone who knows me knows that I am not turned on by fat-free, quite to the contrary, I usually run the other direction. More on my fat-free fears another day.

This mix can be made with yogurt or applesauce. I make it with goat yogurt. Now, don’t turn your nose up yet. I am not going to talk you into using it (it is expensive). Everyone who has tasted my brownies has not had any idea about my cow’s milk free addition, they cannot taste it. You can use fat-free yogurt like the recipe states or soy yogurt, etc. Both the dairy-challenged and dairy lovers in this house devour them either way.
