This is my recipe for either a very thirsty person or for a party. This makes mojitos in quantity.
Mojitos by the Pitcher
- 4 limes
- 1/2 cup agave syrup or sugar to taste
- handful of mint leaves
- light rum
- sparkling water/club soda
- ice
squeeze the limes into a pitcher, add sweetener of choice. Mix thoroughly to make sure that the sugar is dissolved. Taste for sweetness, adjust seasoning. Rip the mint leaves up and toss in, stir again. Now your mojito mix is ready to go.
Add ice to your glass, a shot of rum, 2 shots of the mix(more or less depending on your taste), top with sparkling water. Garnish with a lime wedge. Gulp it down, share it with your friends or drink it yourself. Hey, I am not here to judge.
Still the best mojitos are made by muddling the limes, sugar and mint in the glass before adding the rum and bubbles. This can be time consuming, so the ginormous pitcher might be the way to go. Enjoy.
